Multan: South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) Saqib Zafar revealed that over 2,000 development projects were under construction in South Punjab at a cost of PKR 240 billion, according to news published on September 27.

During a review meeting on Annual Development Programme (ADP), ACS Zafar highlighted that out of the 2,000 projects, some 1,548 projects are existing developments while 443 are new schemes. He asked all the secretaries to closely monitor the projects and ensure their completion within the stipulated time period and ensure 100% utilization of funds.

Furthermore, the departments were ordered not to compromise on the quality of construction and adhere to the government’s guidelines regarding development projects. The meeting was also informed that development work was underway on 541 projects in Multan, 502 projects in DG Khan, and 439 projects in Bahawalpur.
