Lahore: The project to supply electricity to 275 villages under the Prime Minister’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) program is in its final stages, according to a news report. The project was to be completed in December 2017, but it was delayed because of the shortage of technical staff in Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO).
The project was launched at the cost of PKR 186 million and 233 villages have already been provided with electricity, while transformers are being installed in 40 others and 80% work is already done there. Under the project, villages located near Nankana, Okara, Kasur and Sheikhupura that were deprived of electricity will be provided with it.
