Beijing: The private sector’s share in projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is likely to increase, as per a news report. This is primarily because the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in these projects is also projected to increase. The Government of Pakistan is also working to make the country an attractive market for overseas investors. This will give privately-owned companies an opportunity for incentivising their investments as a means of attracting capital inflows.
As per the news story, CPEC is the major reason why the FDI in the country has been continuously increasing.
