Khuzdar: The Balochistan government plans to launch projects for promoting industries in collaboration with the private sector, a news source reported.

Balochistan Chief Secretary Dr Akhtar Nazeer expressed his views on the matter. He was presiding over a meeting of Lasbela Industrial Estates Development Authority (LIEDA) on Sunday.
Secretary Power Pasand Khan Buledi, Kalat Commissioner Hafiz Tahir Kakar, Lasbela Deputy Commissioner Shabbir Ahmed Mengal, and Industries Secretary Noor Mohammad Jogazai were all present at the occasion.

LIEDA Managing Director Aslam Tareen gave briefings with regard to the development of an industrial zone in the province. Funds worth PKR 300 million are expected to be allocated for the project.
In response, the chief secretary directed to prepare a plan for the industrial zone. He said that the provincial government would extend all possible support in this regard.

He tasked LIEDA with hiring a consultancy firm in the first week of April. Tenders to this effect will be issued in the coming weeks of March. The industrial zone will be completed by June 30.
