Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has begun the process of pre-qualifying contractors for the dualisation of Burki Road and the rehabilitation of roads on both sides of the Babu Sabu Interchange news sources, reported. The government has invited bids for road repair around the Babu Sabu Interchange to be submitted by September 2.

Similarly, the pre-qualification proposals for the project to reroute Burki Road from Lahore School of Economics (LSE) to BRB are invited to be submitted by September 3. LDA has also asked firms with the requisite qualifications to submit pre-qualification proposals by September 4 for the rehabilitation of roads in New Islamia Park, Royal Park, Ranjha Road, Faisal Road, and Himayat-e-Islamia Road.

Furthermore, the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has requested PKR 1 billion from the revenue department for the building of new parks and the maintenance of current parks. The revenue department, on the other hand, has granted PKR 500 million for PHA, and a summary has been sent to the cabinet for final approval of funds.
