Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the authorities concerned to prepare a plan for improving traffic flow in Lahore, a news source reported. This plan will put particular emphasis on the traffic situation at the entry and exit points of the city. Other major cities of Punjab will be treated with similar arrangements.

Furthermore, the minister has asked for the submission of final recommendations on the matter -following a comprehensive planning process. The CM seeks the adoption of effective measures for streamlining the flow of traffic at the mentioned city locations. He observed that traffic re-engineering and management will improve the traffic situation at these important venues.
Lastly, the CM also expressed that such measures will facilitate the citizens using these points of the cities. He stressed on the agencies concerned that they are responsible for ensuring practical measures for streamlining this issue.

He further instructed the relevant government departments to prepare themselves for all incoming traffic management challenges caused by an increasing population base. Technology and management skills should be utilised to accomplish this task and deliver effective results, he told.
