Karachi: Pakistan Real Estate Industry Forum (PREIF) has appreciated the government’s move of announcing a tax amnesty scheme for the property sector .
According to PREIF President Shaban Elahi, the whole property sector is grateful to the government for understanding the concerns of real estate investors. He said that this amnesty scheme is a major step to encourage investment in the real estate sector and added that the number of tax filers in the country will increase through this scheme.
Elahi also expressed that the government would address the remaining issues of the property market by taking stakeholders into confidence.
Reportedly, PREIF has volunteered to assist the government in helping the investors understand the new tax collection mechanism.
