Lahore: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has achieved significant milestones in revenue collection for March 2024, securing PKR 19.1 billion, marking a 26% increase from the previous year’s collection, as disclosed by a new source on April 4.

According to the details, the third quarter of the fiscal year also saw notable growth, with revenue reaching PKR 164.3 billion, an 18% increase from PKR 138.7 billion in the same period last year.
The PRA oversees various revenue streams including Sales Tax on Services, Punjab Workers Welfare Fund (PWWF), and Punjab Infrastructure Development Cess (PIDC). This fiscal year saw remarkable growth in PWWF and PIDC collections, with a 66% and 62% increase respectively.

Despite economic challenges, the PRA is determined to achieve its target of PKR 240 billion, representing approximately 66% of Punjab’s source revenue. The authority aims to maximise provincial revenue through collaboration with taxpayers and its dedicated team.
