Lahore: The Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) has registered a remarkable growth in revenue of 39% in August, as compared to the same period last year — according to a news source published on September 2.

A PRA Spokesperson briefed the media on Tuesday, and revealed that the authority had recorded revenue collections worth PKR 8.6 billion during the last month. This amount is reported to be the highest recorded revenue collection for the month of August in PRA’s history.

It is pertinent to mention that in the wake of COVID-19, the rate of taxes of over 20 services were lowered from 16% to 5%. However, this increase in the revenue collection is encouraging, and the Chairperson of the PRA lauded the authority’s officials for their planning and collective efforts. The officials were additionally directed to keep up their hard work, as they are right on track to accomplish this year’s revenue targets.
