Lahore: Construction work to lay a 500 kV Double Circuit Quad Bundle transmission line measuring 282 kilometres has been completed, a National Transmission and Dispatch Company spokesperson told media. The transmission line will supply power from Engro Thar Coal Power Plant in Thar to Jamshoro.
The transmission line was tested and energised a couple days ago on July 31, said the NTDC spokesperson. This transmission line will evacuate 660 megawatts from the Engro Thar Coal Power Plant. The event is termed as historic as it will provide power to the far-flung areas of Sindh via the national grid.
