Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif will formally reveal measures for the rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in flood-affected districts on October 24, according to news sources. As per the details, the announcement came after the Post Disaster Needs Assessment of the damages caused by the floods was completed in August.

The Needs-Assessment report was completed by the Planning and Development (P&D) Division with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), World Bank (WB), United Nations (UN), and European Union (EU).

During the WB-International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual meeting held on October 14, P&D Minister Ahsan Iqbal shared the key findings of the report. ‘It is time for the richest people of the world to help the poorest people of Pakistan’, said the minister.
