Gwadar: Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Naseer Khan Kashani chaired a meeting on Friday to review the progress on various ongoing development projects such as the implementation of the Gwadar Master Plan, and the provision of facilities to the fishery and people associated with it, according to news sources.

The chairman invited Chinese firms operational work in Gwadar to come forwards and initiate work on the socio-economic uplift projects to benefit the local community. He also acknowledged the problems being faced by the local people and said that they will soon be resolved.

Meanwhile, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Lt Gen (retired) Asim Saleem Bajwa tweeted that Gwadar has the potential to become ‘a global city and a vibrant port’. He said that the development activities at the port were picking up and on the right pace to become a world-class port city.
