Islamabad: The government’s Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Division (PASSD) has announced the formulation of a new policy, developed under the ‘Ehsaas’ programme, that will ensure the provision of basic facilities to approximately4.2 million orphans in the country – according to news sources.
According to details, the executive, under the policy’s framework, would give special attention to the needs of the orphans, who continue to face numerous challenges at present.

A PASSD official, during a press briefing, stated that the executive would provide homes with all the basic amenities for the orphans; a place where they would get a loving and supportive environment to help them grow as responsible adults.

Further, the federal government was working on a comprehensive policy for orphanages in its bid to improve these facilities.
