As per officials, the PMU will remain functional for a period of nine months while its operations will be supervised by the RDA. Reportedly, the unit will oversee spending of PKR 30 million on RRR’s development.
The PMU’s team will comprise a pre-notified project director and deputy project director. In addition, RDA will also invite applications to hire two associate engineers, a resettlement action planner, a structural engineer, and a land acquisition collector.

According to reports, further progress on RRR will be made once RDA gets the project’s PC-II developed by the Zurich International Company – a Swiss firm hired for the purpose.
Previously, the Punjab government had approved major changes in the RRR project plan; including a reduction in total length, change in road’s starting and ending points as well as the exclusion of two link roads.
