Rawalpindi: The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has announced the addition of Chandani Chowk Bus Station to the Metro Bus Express route, as per a news source on January 2.

Pursuant to the details, an official from the Metro Bus shared that the recently launched express service, connecting Saddar to the Pakistan Secretariat, initially had six stops. Now, Chandani Chowk has been integrated into the route, aiming to facilitate patients traveling to Benazir Bhutto Hospital.
The Metro Bus service has proven to be a time-saving option for commuters between Rawalpindi and Islamabad. It reduces travel time by 20 minutes compared to the regular service, which stops at 24 stations along the route.
In a further development, addressing the repair work on the 6th Road station, Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Director General (DG) Saif Anwar Jappa informed that the reconstruction, costing PKR 99 million, will be completed by January 6.

DG Jappa outlined the civil works, including the replacement of damaged doors (Emergency Exit), signboards, tempered glass, granite, railing, metal cladding (roofing), vinyl sheet on flooring, rehabilitation of the ticket booth, shoot concreting at the burned portion of the slab, and paint and plaster works.
