Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan is all set for a visit to China from Oct 7-8 in order to discuss the status of projects related to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), according to a news source.

His main agenda was stated as the revival of CPEC projects, and the removal of any barriers hindering their progress. He chaired a meeting related to the mega-project on Wednesday, and stated that removing all hindrances in the timely completion of CPEC projects is a top priority of the government. He also revealed that another aim of the visit is to strengthen diplomatic ties between the two countries. The PM will meet with Chinese leadership to promote friendly relations.

Minister for Planning and Development Khusro Bakhtiar briefed a meeting about the status of CPEC projects, while Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed discussed the progress on the ML-1 lines being laid from Karachi to Peshawar that fall under the CPEC umbrella.
