Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday said that the welfare of the people of Balochistan as well as the province’s socioeconomic development featured among the top priorities of the federal government — a news source reported. He made these comments during a meeting with provincial Chief Minister (CM) Jam Kamal Khan.

The session was also attended by Federal Minister for Defence Production Zubaida Jalal, MNAs Sardar Israr Khan Tareen and Khalid Magsi, as well as Senators Anwar ul Haq, Ahmed Khan and Taj Afridi.

The meeting discussed the state of response to the coronavirus within Balochistan, and the current situation in the province. Later, the ongoing development projects in the province were also reviewed by the meeting. The PM assured the CM that the federal government would provide all possible cooperation to the provincial government in any challenges that it may face in the future.
