Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a special package aimed at facilitating overseas Pakistanis, according to news sources on August 10.
Under this package, new incentives will be introduced for non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs) to resolve issues faced by them. The details of package for overseas Pakistanis are as follows:

To help NRPs with property matters:
- Hotlines will be set up under the Chief Secretaries in provinces and the Chief Commissioner in Islamabad
- Special courts will be formed in Islamabad and all provinces to speed up property issue resolutions
For housing schemes:
- 10% quota for Overseas Pakistanis in public-sector housing schemes
- An extra 5% discount for payments via foreign currency and banking
Expanding successful initiatives:
- Punjab Overseas Pakistanis Commission (POPC) model to be copied in other provinces
Airport assistance:
- Special counters at international airports for NRPs
Recognitions and facilities:
- Top Ten remitters among Overseas Pakistanis honored with awards
- Hall of Fame in Pakistan Missions for exceptional overseas Pakistanis
Better financial options:
- National Saving Schemes by the Central Directorate of National Savings with good interest rates for Overseas Pakistanis
Document services:
- More NADRA and passport facilitation counters in Embassies/Missions
- Blacklisted passports will be automatically removed after a certain time
Simplified processes:
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) will improve online attestation for documents
- Camp offices by MOFA in areas with many overseas Pakistanis for document services

Biometric verification and records:
- Online biometric verification for Overseas Pakistanis for pension, bank accounts, and property transactions
- NADRA linked to Union Councils for certificates
Education opportunities:
