Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to launch metro bus service from Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport (IIA) as soon as possible, according to a news story published in national dailies on Wednesday (April 13).

The PM issued the directives after the CDA officials briefed him on the progress of the metro bus service project. The PM was informed that the project was ready to launch, but the civic agency was waiting for the delivery of buses. It was notified that 30 buses from China will reach the country next month. PM directed the officials to launch the bus service soon, preferably by Saturday by utilising extra buses from Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Service.

Reportedly, the CDA has sought help from Pakistan National Shipping Corporation (PNSC) for the early delivery of the buses from China. It was disclosed that the buses are ready to be transported to Karachi, but it will take a couple of weeks before these can reach the port.
