Lahore: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has instructed the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to formulate a water conservation plan for the city; in addition to ensuring timely completion of the Ravi Riverfront project, according to news sources. He gave these directives while receiving a briefing on various projects planned for the city.

While receiving a briefing on the ‘Ravi Riverfront Urban Development’ project – the premiere ordered the Chief Minister’s Office to eliminate all hurdles and ensure timely completion of the project. The PM said that this would be the first sizeable housing project of his tenure that will be completed within the communicated deadline.

LDA Director General (DG) Sumair Ahmed Syed and chief secretary apprised the PM about the various Ravi Riverfront project aspects including’ land availability, cost, water provision, legal complications and development timeline. They briefed the PM about the private sector’s cooperation, coordination among concerned authorities and utilisation of funds.
