Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif on Monday (June 20) invited Saudi businessmen to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, news sources reported. He made these remarks while talking to a delegation of businessmen visiting from Saudi Arabia.

During the meeting, the premier invited the businessmen to invest in the oil refinery industry of Gwadar, where Saudi investors have also shown a keen interest. PM Sharif also informed the Saudi business delegation today in Islamabad that there is great potential in tourism, minerals, textiles, leather, and other sectors. He stated that the Pakistani government will take all possible steps to assist the investors in making the venture a success. He also stated that the two countries’ mutual relations are solid and supported by fraternal ties founded on trust.

In another development, the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) is also anticipating a visit by Malaysian and Saudi businessmen and tycoons. Saudi investors, according to FCCI, are keen to invest in real estate, industry, services, education, and medical disciplines.
