Lahore: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday issued orders to the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) to expedite the completion of the LDA City Apartments project, a news source reported. He issued the orders during a video-link meeting with LDA Vice Chairman S M Imran.

The LDA official briefed the PM on the progress of the LDA City Apartments project. He highlighted that the civic agency would construct 35,000 residential apartments on 8,500 kanals within LDA City. He added that there would be apartments of five different categories – ranging from 650 square feet to 2,200 square feet.
The LDA vice chairman highlighted that the authority intended to complete the construction of the apartments within two-and-a-half to three years. He highlighted that the prices would be affordable and buyers would have access to easy instalment payment plans via banks and other financial institutions. He said that buyers would also receive a relief offer of PKR 300,000 under the PM’s package.

Imran revealed that LDA would also construct flats in Nankana, Kasur, and Sheikhupura. He said that this initiative would encourage the construction of multi-storey buildings for benefitting the residents of Lahore’s adjoining districts.
