The orders issued by the premier signal the revival of the ‘River Ravi Zone Project’; the development of which was proposed by former chief minister (CM) Shahbaz Sharif.

As per reports, the former chief minister had inaugurated the project during his tenure in office. However, no progress could be made to facilitate the project’s development.
During a recent meeting with Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman (VC) SM Imran, PM Khan directed the authorities concerned to include the project in the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP)’s development framework.
