Islamabad: The government has set up a special desk to address complaints registered against local land development authorities in Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Punjab, according to a news source. The Prime Minister’s Office will directly monitor these grievances – which are to be lodged by citizens on the ‘Pakistan Citizen’s Portal’ platform.

To facilitate this measure, the government has issued directives to the development authorities; including the Capital Development Authority (CDA), the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the Peshawar Development Authority (PDA), and the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA).

Moreover, it has directed these civic agencies to set up flexes and banners in their respective offices; asking the citizens to register their complaints with the executive through the said portal. Similarly, these authorities have been asked to use their social media accounts and websites for this purpose.

As per the directives communicated, the task to set up the banners to promote the message should be completed within seven days. The Citizen’s Portal will give its monthly report to the PM on the complaints addressed by the development authorities.
