Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on September 24 launched the ‘Digital Media Programme’ in Islamabad, according to news sources.

During the launch ceremony, the premier said that the world is advancing in digital media sector, and expressed his pleasure on the launch of the Digital Media Development Programme for Pakistani youth. Reportedly, the said initiative includes the efforts of the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The project will focus on the development and growth of the Digital Media Ecosystem of Pakistan.

Regarding UNDP’s support of this initiative, the UNDP Resident Representative Knut Ostby stated that UNDP is pleased to support the government’s efforts to equip the youth in relevant skills and offer them on-job training in the government offices, which will enhance their career prospects.
