Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan launched the ‘landmark’ Kamyab Pakistan Programme today (October 4) to facilitate the underprivileged class of the society, according to news sources.

As per the details, the programme will provide soft loans worth PKR 1.4 trillion to 3.7 families across the country. The programme will have five elements, which includes:
- Sasta Ghar Scheme – it will provide financing on easy instalments for the construction of houses
- Kamyab Karobar Programme – it will provide financing up to PKR 500,000 for setting up a business
- Kamyab Kissan Programme – it will provide farmers interest-free loans
- Skilled-based Scholarship Scheme
- Sehat Insaf Card
Moreover, it was mentioned that the programme will also link low-income groups with banks via microfinance institutions. PM Imran Khan, while speaking at the ceremony, stated that the banks did not have the training or infrastructure for providing loans to the underprivileged or professional class of the society. It was reported that this was the reason for including microfinance banks in the Kamyab Pakistan Programme.

While talking about inflation, the premier mentioned that the incumbent government has only passed a minimum impact of rising international prices to the people. He went on to say that the incumbent government will soon announce a programme that will provide subsidies for the underprivileged section of society.
