Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched the first phase of “Kamyab Jawan Programme” through which merit-based loans amounting to PKR 100 billion will be provided to youth coming up with innovative business ideas – a news source reported.

He was speaking to the launching ceremony of the programme at the Convention Centre on Thursday. He said PKR 25 billion of the total amount has been allocated for women.
Outlining the programme, he said that there would be three categories of loans. Loans up to the amount of PKR 100,000 will be interest-free to be given to the economically underprivileged. The second categories include loans up to PKR 500,000, and third with loans up to PKR 5 million.

He further said that PKR 10 billion will be spent on the establishment of smart tactical laboratories to boost skill education in artificial intelligence. Around 500 of those laboratories will be established in seminaries.
