Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday launched the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Information Portal that will provide all the details regarding the disbursements made under the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program — a news source reported.

The PM lauded the transparency of the Ehsaas Cash Emergency Program, and also took the opportunity to praise the efforts of Special Assistant on Social Welfare Dr Sania Nishtar in ensuring the success of the initiative so far.
In a meeting held to discuss the venture in detail, Dr Nishtar briefed the PM about the Ehsaas Program and its current progress. Reportedly, the program had been launched on April 9 — with the initiative leading to the disbursement of PKR 65.249 billion among 5.437 million people across the country.

According to the information available, the people utilizing the newly launched portal will be able to see the division of funds among the various categories of people benefiting from the program; along with a breakdown based on the recipients’ province, district and tehsil.
The portal is also expected to highlight the amounts of money provided to the banks as part of the Ehsaas program, as well as the number of people who selected to withdraw these funds.
