Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday performed the ground-breaking for the Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange, PWD Interchange, the Korang Bridge (at the Islamabad Expressway), and various development works at Sector I-15, according to news sources.

The PM launched these projects through a video link while chairing a meeting on the ongoing development projects in the capital city. On the occasion, he also received a briefing on the estimated cost of these uplift projects, as well as their estimated completion timelines.
Previously, PM Khan had been informed that the Rawal Dam Chowk Interchange would be completed by utilizing the resources of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) — with the initiative to be part of its Traffic Management Solution.

The timeline for the construction of the PWD Underpass and the Korang Bridge will be span over 7 and 15 months respectively. The CDA will execute these projects by utilizing funds from the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).
During the meeting, PM Khan also directed the authorities concerned to ensure that the green areas of the Federal Capital were protected while the aforementioned projects are being developed.
