Karachi: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday laid the foundation stone for a low-cost housing project under the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) in Sargodha, according to news sources.

Under this NPHP chapter in Sargodha, a total of 1,175 houses of three marlas will be constructed at six different locations in the Sargodha district. The land for the initiative and other facilities will be provided by the Punjab government.

Moreover, it was also highlighted that these 3-marla NPHP houses will be constructed by Frontier Works Organization (FWO). The mortgage facility will be offered by Punjab Bank – enabling the deserving people to pay for the house through easy instalments. Already, 33,528 applications have been received for the houses and the allotments will be made through balloting.
