While addressing the ceremony, the prime minister reiterated that the government has launched these low-cost housing projects to offer the lower-income class a chance to own their houses. These housing units are being constructed in the areas closer to the cities and are hence named ‘peri urban’.
PM Khan stated that while the project would facilitate the common man, it will also be a highlight for the construction industry and the economic boom will soon be visible. He further remarked that the construction industry is performing at its best currently and that the government is giving incentives to boost the industry further. The industry is already seeing the highest recorded sales of cement this year.
