During this visit, he will meet the governor and will get a briefing on various development and infrastructure projects – including the Green Line mass transit project. The Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) project is part of the Karachi Mass Transit Project, which the premier is expected to launch during his visit. The PKR 170 billion project is being developed to alleviate the city’s traffic and commuting difficulties. KCR is a 43-kilometre-long track with electric trains that will have no signal crossings. The government has said that the project would be completed through Public-Private Partnership (3P) initiative.
