Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan inaugurated Hyderabad University on April 4, according to a news source. He performed the inauguration ceremony by laying the institution’s foundation stone, and expressed his pleasure regarding its establishment.

As per reports, this university will be managed as a federal project. The federal government has allocated a budget of PKR 2 billion for its construction. It is also performing the preliminary work to get the university’s charter approved by the National Assembly. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has provided land for this project. The authority reserved 50 acres in the Kohsar area of the city for this purpose.

The university will offer courses in the faculties of science, arts, commerce, and pharmacy, among those from many other disciplines in due time.
Khan emphasised the importance of education for the progress of a great nation. He also announced that a university will be established in Sohawa, near Jhelum.
