Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan during his visit to Turbat on Friday laid the foundation stone for various projects; including the expansion of the Turbat Airport, construction of the 200-bed Makran teaching hospital, Turbat University Phase II, and the construction of the 146km-long Hoshab-Awaran section of the motorway (M-8), according to news sources.

Further, he inaugurated a ‘Darul Ehsas’ centre for orphans and poor children in Turbat. Speaking to the elders at Makran’s divisional headquarters in Kech district as well as the students of Turbat University during his day-long visit, the PM opined that equal development of all federating units of the country was essential for a strong federation. He vowed that the incumbent government will provide all the needed facilities required for the development of Balochistan to bring it on par with other provinces.

During his address, the PM also assured that a housing scheme will be launched in Balochistan. He further termed the youth of Balochistan as an ‘asset and future’ of Pakistan and promised to provide maximum support for their progress in the education sector.
