Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday (March 2) launched PKR 407 billion worth markup-free loan scheme under Kamyab Pakistan Programme, news sources reported. The loan scheme will help increase resilience for the 4.5 million families across the country.

Reportedly, these interest-free loans will be given to low-income households to help them start small businesses, build houses, develop technical competence, and begin small-scale farming ventures. During the following two years, the loans will be given through the Kamyab Pakistan Programme to youth, women, farmers, and for the construction of low-income housing. On the occasion, the premier stated that the government has spent PKR 2.5 billion on different welfare schemes for low-income households.
It was also highlighted that commercial banks have provided PKR 55 billion to young people to help them start their own businesses. He stated that further measures to improve young skills will be implemented. Additionally, the government intends to establish the Rehmatul-lil-Aalameen Authority, which will establish standards and teachings from the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) life on how he spent his life and established a welfare state. He claims that this will also allow future generations to organise their lives properly as per the Islamic teachings.

Furthermore, PM Imran stated that the launch of the ‘Naya Pakistan Sehat Card’ is the government’s most significant achievement for the welfare of citizens. He said that the effort will alter the lives of millions of people by bringing healthcare to the doorsteps of the common man.
