Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has asked Chairman Capital Development Authority Amer, Ali Ahmed, to come up with a viable plan to utilise the Fatima Jinnah Park F-9 Citizens Club for general public use, news sources reported.

The premiere directed the chairman to confer with the building’s architect, Nayyar Ali Dada, and provide a report in this respect. `The two-member committee will propose a utility plan for the club that has been lying unused since its construction.
The premier said this while chairing the meeting held at the Citizens Club located at Fatima Jinnah Park in Sector F-9. The meeting was attended by Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed, Minister for Human Rights Dr Shireen Mazari, PM’s Special Assistant on Health Dr Faisal Sultan, Senator Faisal Javed, Chairman CDA Amer Ahmed Ali, architect Nayyar Ali Dada and federal secretaries.

The Citizen Club, which spans 22 acres, was inaugurated in 2018. Nayyar Ali Dada, the architect, designed the building. The building has cafés, gymnasiums, restaurants, an indoor pool, however, it is now unoccupied owing to litigation issues.
