Hafizabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Sunday (March 13) inaugurated several development schemes in Hafizabad including road and agriculture projects, according to news published.

The premier visited the city on a day-long visit to address the public gathering. Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) Shahbaz Gill, Federal Ministers Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Shafqat Mehmood, and Asad Umar, and Senator Faisal Javed accompanied the PM.
During the visit, meetings were held with lawmakers, assembly members, and office-bearers. CM Buzdar briefed the meeting that PKR 18.7 billion has been allotted for development projects in Hafizabad. He went on to say that link roads will be improved in order to make commute hassle-free for residents of Hafizabad and surrounding areas.

As per the details, a new district headquarters hospital will be established in the city. The government has plans to set up two new associate colleges in the district. It was disclosed that 26 development projects along with filtration plants, provision and drainage of water will be completed soon. The CM continued to say that 64 rural revenue centres have been set up whereas 53 more will be established.
