Sargodha: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan is expected to inaugurate the Sargodha-Mianwali Road on November 22, a news source reported. As per officials, the premier will lay down the foundation stone of the project on the said date.

Previously, the PM had announced the construction of this road during his last visit to Mianwali. The authorities concerned will begin the dualisation of the Sargodha-Mianwali Road at a cost of over PKR 50 billion.
Following completion of the dualisation process, the Sargodha-Mianwali Road will be linked with Faisalabad. For this purpose, the relevant authorities will also transform the Faisalabad Road into a dual track. To complete this project, the officials concerned have estimated the funds required at PKR 25 billion.

After the dualisation of Sargodha-Mianwali-Faisalabad Road reaches completion, the government will link the project to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative.
