Peshawar: National Assembly (NA) Speaker Asad Qaiser has stated that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan would inaugurate the Rashakai Special Economic Zone (SEZ) on November 21, a news source reported on November 9.

He expressed his views on the matter following a review meeting on the inauguration event. Participants at the session included China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Committee Chairman and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Arbab Sher Ali Khan and Minister for Defence Pervez Khattak.

‘The Rashakai Economic Zone will usher in a new era of growth that will help further develop our economy,’ he said; adding that the federal government was talking measures to promote trade with Afghanistan. He stated that the executive had introduced a series of reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in a bid to improve livelihoods of poor segments of the society; adding that major uplift schemes were being launched in the province.
