Sheikhupura: The Federal Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid said that the Nankana Sahib Railway Station will be inaugurated by Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan next month, according to the news sources.
He spoke to the media and related that the railway station that’s being named after Baba Guru Nanak, (a spiritual figure held in the highest esteem by the Sikh community) is expected to be completed on 30 October, 2019.

Moreover, a visiting 28-member Sikh community delegation, headed by Sardar Gurchan Singh, expressed their heartiest gratitude for the PM, for working on the Kartarpur Corridor project. The delegation was visiting Nankana Sahib, where they also arranged a procession to pay respects to their religious leader.

Sardar Gurchan said that 22 Canadian Sikh pilgrims will participate in the 550th death anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak in November. These pilgrims will reach Nankana Sahib after travelling the 17,000-kilometre distance by road.
