Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday called for the regulation of the tourism industry and the formation of relevant laws to this effect, a news source reported.

He was addressing participants at the Pakistan Tourism Summit in Islamabad. Representatives from different institutions, as well as foreign travel bloggers, were present at the occasion.
The PM remarked that Pakistan’s tourism potential was unmatched. He also directed the officials concerned to develop relevant laws in a bid to promote and develop the tourism industry.

He expressed optimism regarding many places in the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) – which are expected to attract a lot of visitors once they are opened for tourists. Moreover, he stressed the need to respect local customs and traditions.
