For the remaining directorates of the authority, including Human Resource and Finance, the PM’s office has directed the concerned officials to bring them under the control of the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). These directions were issued by the Institutional Reforms Cell of the PM’s office to improve the CDA’s performance.
Moreover, these recommendations also stated that the CDA should not acquire private land for the sake of development of new sectors and instead should continue to complete its stalled sectors like E-12, I-15, I-14 and I-11 etc – preferably on a public-private partnership (PPP) model. The letter also urged the CDA to give the highest priority to the automation processes.
