Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has launched a centralised complaint register portal on Thursday (February 17) to resolve the student’s scholarship-related complaints, news sources reported. With this development, students will be able to file concerns using the Pakistan Citizen Portal. The Prime Minister Delivery Unit (PMDU) has created this system and will oversee its operations.

Reportedly, speaking at a convention in Islamabad, the premier said that the portal will be monitored by a team of academicians and scholars who will suggest improvements in the system. Similarly, the government will develop a portal with information on the many scholarships accessible for students and granted by various ministries and divisions. He stated that the method will make it easier for students to obtain scholarships and get them on merit as soon as possible. This will also raise university enrolment figures and, as a result, the number of specialists and technical hands will also increase.

Minister of Federal Education Shafqat Mahmood stated that the government has committed PKR 123 billion for higher education this year and established 28 new institutions during the last three years. He said that these developments would increase the pace of higher education efforts in Pakistan and would generate more knowledgeable brains.
