Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to expedite work on all housing and apartment projects in the capital city proposed for non-resident Pakistanis (NRPs), news sources reported. Among the developments are high-end residential buildings such as Overseas Enclave in Islamabad.

According to reports, the premier directed all relevant agencies to ensure quality and expedited completion of development work to secure timely delivery of apartments for expats. The premier was also briefed on the city’s existing development initiatives and a proposed plan to build 6,000 apartments for Pakistanis living abroad in Islamabad. It was revealed that the high-end property will have cutting-edge sustainable facilities. Furthermore, the prime minister stated that Pakistanis living in foreign countries are Pakistan’s assets and should be supported for their contributions to the country’s economy. It is worth noting that the government has started several apartment schemes for Pakistanis living abroad.

Some of these are the Alipur Farash apartment project, Overseas Enclaves, and Lake View City apartments. Expats are provided attractively priced apartments, and the government has introduced the Roshan Apna Ghar Scheme to allow citizens to take advantage of residences available at low-interest rate.
