Ankara: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan stated that Turkish investment in Pakistan would be highly appreciated by the government, according to a news source. He made this statement while addressing an event in Ankara as part of his two-day visit to Turkey. He added that the current government is bent on making Pakistan’s business climate more accommodating towards foreign investment.

The premier also briefed the attendants at the event about the affordable housing scheme, and said that it was a massive project currently open for investment. He also mentioned that Pakistan is rich with religious tourism sites; something which is also true of Turkey. The development of special economic zones under Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative was also discussed during the session. All of these projects were presented as viable avenues of investment for Turkish stakeholders to take part in. During this visit, the PM is also expected to hold talks with various Turkish businessmen and potential investors.
