Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi chaired a briefing at the Prime Minister Office on the new Islamabad international airport, according to a news source. He said that work on the airport should be completed soon so that the airport can be inaugurated by mid-April.
A press release issued from the PM Office said that operational work on all infrastructure and airport-related allied facilities has already been completed. The meeting was attended by Minister for Interior and Planning Ahsan Iqbal, Minister for Communications Hafiz Abdul Karim, Minister of State for Communications Junaid Anwaar Chaudhry, concerned federal secretaries, National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman Jawad Anwaar, as well as other dignitaries.
Anwaar said that the work on Airport Metro Bus Project would complete on May 15, whereas various projects are all ready for inauguration soon.
