Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Chairman SM Imran on Thursday briefed Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Lahore Master Plan 2040, a news source reported. The development authority chief also provided updates with regard to the LDA Commercialisation Policy and the draft of the Land Use Rules 2019.

He informed PM Khan that the development authority received 76 applications for building plans’ approval. He added that the LDA had issued No-objection certificates (NoCs) to 65 newly-launched housing schemes in the city.
Moreover, he briefed the PM with regard to the measures introduced by the LDA to address the concerns of the LDA City allottees. The chairman shared details on the ballot held within 10 months to allocate plots to 9,712 LDA City file holders. He also shared details on various developments carried out to handover plot possession letters to 623 affectees of LDA Avenue-I; following a series of negotiations between the civic agency and the owners of litigated land.

In response, PM Khan expressed satisfaction over the performance of the LDA and appreciated lauded the measures taken by the civic agency.
