Islamabad: During a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office, Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi briefed Prime Minister Imran Khan about the ongoing cleanliness drive in Karachi, a news source reported. The two sides discussed the issues pertaining to excessive littering, poor drainage system and other environmental concerns in Karachi.

Previously, on the orders of the prime minister, Zaidi had launched the drive in the metropolis after heavy rains exposed its blocked and choked drainage systems. Moreover, rain water inundated the streets owing to garbage filled drains.

After the meeting, Ali Zaidi tweeted details saying Khan was fully supportive of the ‘Clean Karachi campaign’ and had asked him to advance the cause till his goal of a clean Karachi was realised.
