Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has approved a project proposed for resolving the water issues of Sindh, including Karachi – a news source reported. Previously, Minister for Water Resources Faisal Vawda, who also holds the additional portfolio of chairman of the Water & Power Development Authority (WAPDA), had proposed this project.

The premiere approved the project during a meeting held to discuss issues concerning the development of the water sector. Vawda, along with several other senior officials, attended the meeting.
The minister briefed the PM about the existing water resources available in the country, and the water issues faced by the people of Sindh. He also appraised the PM regarding how the workings of the proposed water initiative.
Vawda expressed his hope that the project would considerably improve the water situation in the province.

In response, PM Khan lauded the minister’s efforts aimed at presenting a comprehensive solution to Sindh’s water problems.
