Islamabad: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday approved the launch of the ‘Corona Relief Tiger Force’ mobile application, according to news sources. The software comes with a geotagging feature designed to facilitate the force’s smooth operation.

Khan met with Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar and received a briefing on the role of technology to oversee the effective functioning of the said force. In response, the prime minister praised the digital approach against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The official and nation-wide launch of the application is slated for the next week. The premier stated that these volunteers are a national asset in the fight against the virus and therefore should be given the best facilities. He reiterated that violators of the government-sanctioned standard operating procedures (SOPs) should be identified and action against them should be promptly taken.
The “Corona Relief Tigers” team was created in March to help the government tackle the coronavirus situation prevailing in the country.
